Fuda Cancer Hospital South District and Fuda Cancer Hospital North District (collectively, “Fuda Cancer Hospital”) are located in Guangzhou, in the south of China. Both hospitals are modern and specialized cancer centers that are recognized for their minimally invasive therapies and innovative treatments that provide an effective alternative to the traditional treatment of chemotherapy/radiation/surgery. Fuda Cancer Hospital is affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Guangzhou Institute of Biomedicine and Health. The hospitals are teaching hospitals of Jinan University School of Medicine. In 2010, the central government designated the hospitals as nationally important clinics and awarded a five million RMB grant to the group.
Besides the conventional treatments for cancer (surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy), the hospital has brought together innovative and proven new technologies like cryosurgical ablation (CSA), vascular interventional therapy, Cancer Microvessel Intervention (CMI), photodynamic therapy, seed knife branchytherapy, radiofrequency ablation and bioimmunotherapy. The hospital prides itself on using a “3C+P” approach when treating patients: CSA, CMI, combined immunotherapy for cancer (CIC), and personalized therapy. So far, Fuda Cancer Hospital has performed more than 6,000 cases of cryosurgical ablation, and it performs the most number of cryosurgical ablations annually in the world.
